Film: Phenomenon (1996)

DVD: Non-Anamorphic
Phenomenon

"You learned the Portuguese language in 20 minutes?
"Not all of it."

Review: This is the kind of role that I like John Travolta in the best. He is always good as the low-key charismatic good guy. His villains tend to be too hammy and over the top. He is good in this movie with Robert Duvall and Forrest Whittaker as an Average Joe who sees a light in the sky and rapidly develops a genius intellect.

"This is good, Lace. I think you're a good cook.
"No, I'm not. I only make two things pretty well: pork chops and, um, turkey."
"Hm. Which is this?"
