"The thing I can't stand about you, mate, is you're always so bloody cheerful."
Review: This is a great movie by the director, Peter Weir, and one of Mel Gibson's first movies. It is about the World War I battle at the beach of Gallipoli in Turkey by the Australia and New Zealand Army. The movie has witty dialogue and great cinematography and locations.
"Tell Major Barton that the attack must proceed."
"Sir, I don't think you've got the picture. They, our men, are being cut down before they can get five yards from the trench."
"I don't care!"
