The Chargers beat the Cardinals, 27-20, at home to wrap up the 1st seed and home field advantage for the playoffs.
Phillip Rivers hurt his foot getting sacked in the 1st quarter, but he continued to play and threw two touchdowns while limping all over the field. He left the game for good to rest his foot in the 3rd quarter after the Chargers built up a 17 point lead.
LaDainian Tomlinson ran for 66 yards to wrap up the Rushing Title before leaving the game early as well. Micheal Turner finished up the game with some good running and even Lorenzo Neal had a long 43 yard run to get the final 1st down and ice the game.
Shawne Merriman got one more sack to bring his total to 17 and lead the league in sacks for the season. The Chargers set the franchise season record with 492 points and 14 wins and also went 8-0, undefeated at home, for the first time.
