"Help me, I'm British."
Review: This is the story of a young british boy living in Shanghai, China when Japan invades the city in WWII. He has to learn how to survive in the city and in Japanese detention camps when he gets separated from his parents. I think the first half of the movie is amazing but the second half about life at the camp drags a little.
"If the Americans land, the Japanese will fight."
"You admire the Japanese?"
"Well, they're brave, aren't they?"
"That's important, is it, Jim?"
"It's a good thing if you want to win a war."
"But we don't want them to win, do we. Remember, we're British."
"Yes. I've never been there."
3 1/2 out of 4 Stars
